1. Check the Weather Seal
The strip of rubber also known as the weather seal runs along the bottom of the garage door. Basically, if the weather seal is old, ripped or cracked, the cold air can enter your garage. 2. Clear the Area Around Your Garage Door

Also, wash the outside of the door frequently to remove salt and debris.
3. Install a Heater
If all else fails, you can always install a heater inside the garage. This is a more costly option, but it will definitely help your door from freezing shut. On the positive side, you could start using your garage for storage space or a new exercise room.
